Loch Sloy Dam was built in 1945. The labour force included some German prisoners-of-war. It's located near Invergulas in the Scottish Highlands


The Sloy/Awe Hydro-Electric Scheme is a hydro-electric facility situated between Loch Sloy and Inveruglas on the west bank of Loch Lomond in was opened in 1950 in the presence of Queen Elizabeth.
