Hunmanby Sands, a vast area of sands when tide is in the beach is completely covered all the way up to the cliffs along the edge of the beach.

Cw 8246 Hunmanby bay sands with tide. Hunmanby Sands are a bay area of the east coast of England between Bridlington in the south and Filey to the north. When the tide is out there is a vast area of sands that are popular for walkers and dog owners to exercise their pets. But when the tide is in the beach is completely covered all the way up to the cliffs along the edge of the beach. Part of the English Coastal path runs along the top of some of the cliffs so the patterns in the swirling tide can be watched, which can be fascinating and memorising. The area is named after a village that is about 2 miles inland from the shore.
