A large demonstration took place starting from the Comedy Carpet under the iconic Blackpool Tower, demanding the immediate resignation of the Chairman of Blackpool Football Club, Karl Oyston. The Oyston family have long been held in contempy by fans of the club leading to a number of court cases where the Oyston family sued a number of fans for libel.
