Frequent hoeing and a liberal supply of rich liquid ma-nure, to keep up a continuous and rapid growth, will producesplendid heads of the most delicate flavor. It facilitatesblanching, if the leaves are gathered loosely together, and tiedover the top of the head to protect from the sun. Cut beforethe flowers begin to open.
