The Bob Hope USO Tour performed at 1400 hrs. aboard Saratoga with Eva Rueber-Staier, Hollywood stars Connie Stevens, Suzanne Charny, the 'Golddiggers', Ellen Farley, and Les Brown and his 'Band of Renown'. Over Sixth Fleet sailors from Saratoga, USS Little Rock (CLG-4), five destroyers and a fleet oiler attended the event held in the carrier's hanger bay. 2
