To fill the tankby means of this device, the operator has simply to throw thestrainer end of the hose into the water, and open a valve underthe seat, when the water is drawn up by the vacuum created bythe steam, filling the tank in a few minutes. It is not neces-sary for the operator to leave his seat. It is a much more con-venient means than the use of a bucket.
