Vestal & Son's Illcstbated and ^Descriptive Catalogue. RARE FUCHSIA, TRAILING QUEEN. Good plants for hanging- pots are rare—as rare as they are beautiful. This new fuchsia never grows erect, but always trails down over side of the pot, and is the most beautiful of all plants for suspension. Luxuriant without being weedy, procumbent without being sprawling, clothed with handsome foliage, and loaded with hundreds of gracefully drooping flowers, nothing more could be asked for as a basket plant. A well grown plant of this fuchsia is a weeping fountain of waxen* scarlet and violent purple bells, and it remains in this condition for months at a time. Very robust and easy to grow, the branches reaching a length of four and five feet, blooming and growing nearly the whole year. The leaves are dark green, ribbed and rayed with red or crimson. When expanded the flowers are very large in size, tube and sepals bright rosy scarlet, while the corrolla at opening is a rich violet purple, changing the second day to a fine shade of crimson, the two colors in the same cluster contrasting beautifully. Price, 15 cents each. FINE DOUBLE WHITE FUCHSIA, Mrs. E. G-. Hill. A variety unsurpassed among all the fuch- sias with white corolla. In fact, nearly perfection as to free grow- ing and habit; strong and bushy, beginning to bloom quite early in the spring and continuing very late. Tube and sepals are bril- liant, deep scarlet, thick and leathery in texture; corolla is very large, double and pure white. Price, 10 cents each. Best Single Fuchsia For General Cultivation, The Black Prince. A mis- nomer so far as color is con- cerned, being of a bright waxy carmine, tube and petals large and broad with pale green tips ; large, open, pale pink corolla; a wonderfully symmetrical habit and the best all
