A summary of all reports shows that in spite of a very back- ward season there has been a decided gain all over the country. Prices have in general been satisfactory, though in some localities, where competition has been keen, prices have been forced to a very low point. This however has occurred only in a few localities. Taken as a whole the spring plant trade of iSSS has been even better than was expected by a majority in the trade.
