Cardiff, UK. 30th Mar, 2017. Today there was a protest outside of the Cardiff Job Centre of Charles Street against the Benefits Sanction. Since the government introduced sanctions on benefits for failure to comply with job centre rules, it's estimated that 8000 people have committed suicide, citing the benefits sanction as a reason for their death. The benefits sanction gives the Job Centre the ability to stop someone's benefits for not applying for enough jobs, or for being late to mandatory meetings. Credit: Becky Ward/Alamy Live News
