London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 26th Jun, 2021. A former Royal Air Force Cold War Avro Vulcan B2 bomber has been run down the runway at Southend Airport for an Armed Forces Day event. The aircraft, serial number XL426, was retired from the RAF in 1986 and has since been restored to ground running condition by the Vulcan Restoration Trust charity. The charity is entirely public donation funded and saw a COVID-limited number of paying guests inside the airport, whilst people watched from outside. The Trust's operation and engineering teams are all volunteers
