Set design for the first scene of the Ballet Russe production of Daphnis and Chloe, by Maurice Ravel described as a "symphonie chorégraphique" performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France in 1912. The set was designed by Léon Bakst (1866-1924), a Russian painter and scene and costume designer of Belarusian origin.
