Penny Glover, right, a native of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and graduate of Northeast Senior High School in Pasadena, Maryland, reciting the oath of office from Cmdr. Christopher Kendrick, the executive officer of Navy Recruiting District New York, during a promotion ceremony to commander at the district's headquarters. Glover is the prospective executive officer of the recruiting district and a graduate of Cedar Crest College, the Naval War College and Capella University.
