The accompanying en-graving from a photograph shows this wagon with the tower inthe running position. The body, engine and running gear werebuilt by the Robinson-Loomis Motor Truck Company, ofMinneapolis, while the tower and its operating mechanism weredesigned and built by the railway company. The height of thetower when lowered into the running position is 12 ft. 4 ground, which gives ample clearance for passing underrailroad viaducts. A novel feature in connection with themounting of the tower is the provision for rotating both theelevating platform and the tower on the base which is supportedon the automobile body.
