Colombo, Sri Lanka. 07th Nov, 2017. Sri Lankan commuters wait in a queue at a fuel station in Colombo on November 7, 2017. A Sri Lankan minister was forced on November 6 to apologies for a fuel shortage that has seen long queues form at gas stations and forced many commuters to leave their cars at home. Petroleum minister Arjuna Ranatunga said the government was working to resolve the crisis, which came weeks after authorities turned away a shipment of about 40,000 tonnes of gasoline saying it was contaminated.
