At the end of a three day celebration of Robert Burns' poem "Tam O'Shanter" (Tamfest) there was a processsion through the streets of Ayr (home town of Burns) in the spirit of Dia de Los Muertos, the Day of the Dead celebrated in Mexico. This is billed as the ultimate Halloween festival where many, including local children and Zombie Bikers, dress up, put on make up and join in the is of KIAM McLAren, aged 11 from Kilmarnock
Tam Fest is a local festival to celebrate the famous poem "Tam O'Shanter" by the Scots Bard Robert Burns. The poem is set in Alloway and Ayr and is at the time of Halloween. The festival is set up to mimic the famous festivals in Mexico "Dia de Los Muertos"
