This genus is now included, by <lieauthors of the Genera Plantarum, under the species described on p. 158, Vol. I., the followingshould be added: B. Barkeriola (Barkeriola). A synonym of EpidendniniBarkeiiula. B. cyclotella (circular). Ji. very showy, disposed in a terminalraceme ; sepals and petals deep magenta; lip white, mar^ziinedmaj;enta,, broad, emarginate. February and March. I. distichous,lip:ulate-oblong, acute. Stems as thick as a quill. Mexico.(W. O. A. iv. 148.) . B. elegans nobllior (nobler).
