He was also in Athensduring the greater part of the second }ear, having kindly and gener-ously abandoned his own work of exploration to assist ProfessorPackard in the direction of the School. The noble gift of MissWolfe, by which the expenses of the Wolfe Expedition were defrayed,was transmitted through the agency of the Managing Committee. Itis, therefore, especially ])roper that the School sliould undertake thepublication of these two reports, with the large collecpapersofamerican03arch
