On the 24th October 2015 Salford City at the time playing in the Evo stick Northern Premier League Premier Division created a bit of their own history by reaching the 4th Qualifying round of the They where drawn at home to Southport , with Southport play in the National League, the top level non-league in the country, two leagues above Salford. Here players from both teams line up in front of the changing rooms before running out on to the pitch for the game, Salford being in the red shirts.
