Moscow authorities imposed home isolation for all Moscow residents, regardless of their age, and restrictions on movement within the city, effective since March 30, 2020, as a measure to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection. Violations of the stay-at-home order carry fines ranging from 1,000 to 40,000 rubles for non-infected people, and up to 1m rubles or imprisonment for up to 3 years for infected people, depending on the severity of consequences.
