The com- pipes are made by screwing a 1 ringon the end of the wrought iron pipe andcalking this into the cast iron between lead pipes, or leadand brass pipes are formed with wipedsolder joints. Between lead and ironpipes brass ferrules, wiped to the leadand calked or screwed into the iron,were used. No cup joints were allowednor unions on sewer side of any trap. Clean outs are located at the ends ofall underground drainage lines, and W<(sfe^ si soil 45oil.
