Chicago Pedway is a system of underground tunnels and above-ground bridges that connects more than 40 blocks in the central business district and stretches for about five miles. Outside of rush hour, the corridors are often empty. The pedway network has been growing in Chicago since 1951, providing pedestrians with access to important downtown destinations, especially in bad weather. Chicago, United States
