At the top of the box are two tin loops, near the ends, through which a broad carrying strap is passed. If preferred, a handle can also be attached to the top. Larger vasculums than the one here described are often used by professional botanists, and they are quite commonly of different shapes, sometimes, indeed, with the ends square or rectangular instead of oval. The interior may be one large compartment or divided into several, according to individual taste.
