Bloodhound surface-to-air missile. This is a Bloodhound Mk 1 surface-to-air missile (SAM). The Bloodhound missiles were developed during the 1950s and used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) until the end of the 1990s. It used a radar homing system, and provided defence against Soviet bomber attacks. Photographed at an airbase in the UK.
