Pink Skunk Anemonefish (Amphiprion perideraion) Three things make this image special in my view: first, their two eyes are almost fully aligned. Second, the anemone is almost closed, with just a little bit of the tentacles visible, making it very different from the usual "clownfish with anemone" image. Third, the chiaroscuro, the shadows on the right side give a lot of depth and volume to the image. The anemone will inhibit the production of its deadly neurotoxins in the presence of anemonefish. In exchange, the anemonefish will, with its movements, keep the anemone clean. Komodo Island, Indonesia
