The Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, works with State and Local partners to renourish beaches that meet environmental, safety, and storm risk reduction needs. The contractor moved the FRS 3300 extractor early in the morning at the Flagler Beach renourishment site. In the implementation, sand fences, dune vegetation, and post and rope installations will be in the next few weeks. Florida beaches gross billion dollars in economic impact, but more importantly, our coastlines are our frontlines in storm risk mitigation. ( Army photo by Brigida I. Sanchez)
