Galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, Hubble image
Hubble Space Telescope image of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723. In July 2022 an image of this cluster, which lies billion light years from Earth, was the first deep field image released from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). For that image see C056/2181.
