Whattoo is to become of the huge trophies of spirit-casks and liqueur-bottles in the Dutch department, and which I incidentally alludedto as monumentally reminding one of the late Mynheer van Dunk ?I strongly suspect, from what I hear, that all these strong drinkswill remain and be consumed in the French capital, and thatnot a single cask of spirit or a single bottle of liqueur willfind its way back to Amsterdam.
