For this generous action, as well as for the cordialmanner attending it, and the very complimentary phrase inwhich it is conveyed, I am imder profound obligations. It is fareasier for me to fiad the inspiring cause of such favor and suchunanimity in the personal partiality of friends, than in any meritsor services which I may justly claim as my own.
