STICKY BOMB: THE PRODUCTION OF THE No 74 GRENADE IN BRITAIN, 1943 - Once the adhesive has dried sufficiently, Mrs F Beard (back to camera) and Mrs E MacGregor remove sticky bombs from the drying racks and fit them into their protective metal casings. These casings prevent the bombs from sticking to anything whilst in transit and also protect the delicate glass flask underneath the adhesive coating from smashing before detonation
