The Worshipful Company of Carmen held their annual cart marking ceremony at Guildhall in the City. The tradition dates back to when all commercial carts were required to be marked annually to prove they had paid their fee to ply their trade in the Square Fiona Woolf who is a candidate for election to Lord Mayor of London and Master Carman Neil Coles officiated, branding wooden panels on a variety of both old and new vehicles, including several horse drawn wagons, steam powered lorries, vintage cars and modern trucks and buses.
