The USS Green Bay (LPD-20), a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, enters San Francisco Bay during the 2009 San Francisco Fleet Week Parade of Ships. Built by Northrup Grumman Ship Systems and commissioned on January 24, 2009, the ship is designed to deliver a fully equipped battalion of 800 Marines. The USS Green Bay is homeported at Naval Base San Diego and is assigned to the Pacific Fleet.
