Mercuur. The torpedo with snakes and wings resemble the staff of the Roman God Mercury. He settled twists and the emblem refers to the torpedo as the last weapon in a duel. The torpedo is surrounded by snakes, which symbolize the aggressiveness of the torpedo carrests. Because torpedoes' embarrassment can only be done in daylight, the saying AB Ortu Ad Occasum Solis (from sunrise to sunset) refers to this limited time. Logo lined by Mercuur (1936-1971), Mercuur (1973-1987) and Mercuur (1987-).
