Elizabeth Bagot, or Mary, Countess of Falmouth and Dorset, wife of Charles Berkeley, 1st Earl of Falmouth, then Charles Sackville, 6th Earl of Dorset , later mistress of King Charles II, one of the Windsor Beauties, 1645-1679. She holds a cannonball on her lap in reference to her first husband’s death in the Battle of Lowestoft 1665. Steel engraving by J.
