Mother's day at The East Somerset Steam Gala on 19 March saw the popular GWR 4555 2-6-2T running before its trip to the Severn Valley Railway. The gala saw a double heading with 4110 and 4555 Large Prairie on an historic recreation of the last through steam running on the line with the special headboard 'home counties railway society'. 4110 was in action for the first time in 58 years at the gala following the restoration. Workhorse Ivatt 2MT 46447 was also in steam for the gala weekend. The engine is a favourite at the railway with visitors and enthusiasts. Lady Nan was also running on the driver for a tenner along with the miniature railway. Various freight demonstrations also took place.
