Astronaut George D. Nelson rehearses getting into his newly-designed partial pressue space suit, during preparations for the launch of the space shuttle Discovery, mission STS-26, scheduled for the Autumn of 1988. The rehearsal took place aboard NASA's KC- 135 zero gravity spacecraft: Nelson's assistant is astronaut doctor James P. Bagian, who is in training for possible membership of a future shuttle crew.
