Business is fair for the time of the year, but is not strong enough to take up all of the receipts. The choice and fancy stock generally sells readily, while the others move slowly. Koses are in fair supply, but the larg- er part of the receipts are short-stemmed ones from the new cut. But few Eaater lilies and rubrum lilies are coming into the market. Those that are available generally meet with a good demand. The aster supply is fair. The gladiolus receipts are sufficient for all immediate demands. Some snapdragon may be had. Greens are in good supply and sell fairly well. Various Notes. C. E. Critchell has begun to stock u]i heavily in supplies for the fall and win- ter business, having added a large ship- ment of baskets to his stock during the last fortnight.
