Architect, engineer, and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller, 1964. He is shown here inside the home dome at Carbondale, Illinois. Fuller had this home built as a working prototype, and he lived in it for 12 years. Later, it was used for student housing at Southern Illinois University. The home has been restored and still stands today.
