The Hoo peninsula in North Kent, United Kingdom is the proposed sight for a fourth London airport. The area is one of the most unspoilt and unpopulated landscapes in the South East of England, attracting many diverse and unique species of birds. These photographs were taken at the sight of the old Curtis and Hawkes munitions factory which was operational here during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
