Oslo, Norway - 6 June 2011; Located in central Oslo, Vigelandsparken - the Vigeland Sculpture Park - is the life work of the sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943). It contains over 200 of his diverse sculptures in bronze, granite and cast iron, all humanist-oriented and depicting various aspects and ages of human life. He also designed and acted as architect of the entire park. The park is open all year at all times and is a popular public recreation area. It has also become one of Norway's most visited attractions, with more than one million visitors and tourists every year.
