St Stephen's Cathedral in Metz, a city in Lorraine in eastern France. Built in the 13th century, it has more stained glass than any other cathedral in the world, including windows by Marc Chagall, the 20th-century artist. Metz is capital of the department of Moselle and of the region of Lorraine, which includes other departments. It is one of the oldest settled places in France.
