It is a native of northern New England and Canada, ranging from the Gulf of St. Lawrence far west of the great lakes. This plant is. all things con- sidered, as good as an}' Evergreen for screens, or hedses. It is very hardy and easily ti-ansplanted—few plants ever failing if properly grown speci- mens are obtained. It groAvs rapidly and soon forms a most beautiful hedge. Good to divide the lawn from other parts of the grounds, or to cover unsightly objects. To plant as separate trees we select stocky well-formed natural trees at fallowing PRICE. 3 to 4 feet, 25c; 4to6ft.,50c; T to 8 ft.,75c.
