MR. C. D. WYMAN has resigned as general manager of theNew Orleans City Railroad Company to accept a position withStone & Webster, of Boston, Mass. Mr. Wyman accepted themanagement of the New Orleans property in 1896, succeedingMr. H. M. Littell, who was manager of the lines during theirequipment with electricity. Mr. Wyman gained an enviable repu-tation while in New Orleans, greatly perfecting the street-carservice in that city, and devoting considerable time to the devel-opment of pleasure traffic. He has been a prominent figurein social events at New Orleans, and was a member of severalprominent clubs, among them the Progressive Union and Bostonclubs. Mr. Wyman will be employed as an expert by & Webster, who now control valuable properties in all. parts of the country. He will supervise the operation of thenumerous lighting and railway plants controlled by Messrs. Stone& Webster, and this work will give him a larger field of operationwithout being too closely confined to the small details connectedwith the everyday operation of railway and lighting plants. Thefollowing resolutions were adopted by the directors of the com-pany, at a meeting held July 11, to consider Mr. Wymans resigna-tion: Resolved, That the resignation of Mr. C. D. Wyman as generalmanager of this road (to take effect Aug. I next) be acceptedwith regret, and that the secretary be and is hereby instructed toconvey to Mr. Wyman our approbation of his efficient and faithfulservices in behalf of this company during the period of his con-nection therewith, and to express our best wishes for his continuedsuccess in his new home.
