Bristow rescue helicopter skillfully approaching a rough ground landing as a mountain rescue team descend in the background


Ogwen Valley, Gwynedd, UK 3 October 2015. As dusk falls, Ogwen Valley Moutain Rescue Organisation descend towards the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter as they assist a walker injured near Tryfan. Bristow's S-92 helicopters are certified for night vision goggles (NVG) and have the first “glass cockpit” to be certified NVG compatible. The aircraft has an air speed of 145 knots, an operational radius of action of over 250 nautical miles. Its endurance is about 4 hours. It carries a flight crew of 4. Its capacity is up to 21 persons or 3 stretchers, 10 seated persons.
