It is reported for Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio, by W. H. Smith (1882, 689), but, from the description, the identification is obviously mcorrect. This is doubtless the basis of Morse's report of later date (1904, 130). There is a specimen m the collection of the American Museum of Natural History, labeled "west coast of Mexico," Frank Trubaudt, collector, but it seems to be impossible to verify this record, or to learn anything more definite as to the locality.
