On this page also avery pretty table suitablefor a lady, inlaid with mar-queterie of bunches offlowers on a ground of rose-wood, is shown. It has a brass gallery round the top, and also has a flap underneath to pull out. On page 341 is shown a small bureau withsloping top, inlaid with bunches of flowers andvarious other ornaments in marqueterie on rose-wood and satin-wood. It is enriched withbeautifully chiselled brass mounts gilt, composingthe shell work and foliage of the is stamped with the C crown, which is saidto be Cafneris mark. On page 342 an alcove for bed, etc., afterthe Louis XVI. style, is illustrated. At thebottom left-hand corner is shown a large bureauin the Wallace Collection.
