St James's Park, Birdcage Walk, London,UK. 22nd April, 2018. Elite and thousands of fun runners head towards Buckingham Palace in brilliant Spring sunshine as they enter the final mile of the 2018 Virgin London Marathon. Several of those taking part were affected by the one of the hottest Marathons days on record and needed the help of other runners to complete the final km as they approached the Mall whilst others were treated by first aid crews. Sadly one runner, Matt Campbell, aged 29, collapsed after miles and died later in hospital . Credit: Alan Fraser
