The Old town Vranduk, for centuries known as the hardest part of Bosnia, the gate of Bosnia, is placed 14 kilometres on the west of Zenica, on a route to Doboj (44° 17′ ″ N, 17° 54′ ″ E). It was built on a sheer rock above the river Bosnia. Vranduk represents one of many medevial Bosnian towns with intensive political, economic and cultural life. Vranduk is composed of a citadel with the main tower and a protective wall, surrounding the interior of the medevial town.
