A pair of lesser spotted dogfish, Scyliorhinus canicula, caught at night shore fishing with beachcasting rods on Chesil beach. The dogfish is also known as a small-spotted catshark and is common in UK waters. Chesil beach is 18 miles long and is composed of stones and shingle which vary in size along its length. The largest stones are at the Portland end and get progressively smaller towards West Bay. Dorset England UK GB
