Florence Vaughan.—Considered bv all the finest yel" low Canna yet introduced. Of the largest size and of the most perfectly rounded form. Petals are wider and more rounded than even Madame Crozy. Color brilliant golden-yellow, dotted with the brightest scarlet, and produced in the greatest profusion throughout the whole season. Strong, robust grower, with flower heads of largest size, blooms treely and is wonderfully showy and ef- fective. Charles Henderson.—Termed the "Crimson Madame ; Almost identical in habit of growth with Madame Crozv, but entirely distinct, the flower, being a deep bright crimson. For outdoor bed- ding it is unsurpassed, by reason of its compact, perfect habit, large size of flower and brightness of its color. Magnificent in the effective grandeur of its bloom and foliage when massed. The plant is a stately and vigorous grower. Madame Crozy,—Undoubtedly the grandest of all varieties. The color is a brilliant vermilion scarlet, bordered with deepgold- en yellow; the flowers are borne in great clusters and in such pro- fusion that they crown the plant with a blaze of glowing color. The foliage is a vivid green, broad and massive; the habit of the plant is compact and vigor- ous, its natural heightbeing rare- ly more than four feet, but the flowers form when it is scarcely a foot high, and continue com- ing on the plants until frost.
