Houses built as lake frontage on Lake Eildon are left high and dry by the ongoing drought, Australia.

Most of Victoria and New South Wales in Australia has been in the grip of an unprecedented drought for the last ten years. River levels have dropped and reservoirs are at a fraction of their capacity. Lake Eildon was built in the 1950's to provide irrigation water, but the last time it was full was in 1995. The day the shot was taken it was at 29% capacity with levels down around 75 feet. This house was marketed as lake frontage when built, it has a boat launching ramp that has been unuseable for years.
